Village Lanes was the original bowling center, and one of the original tenants, when Caste Village opened in 1951. It had 24 lanes and specialized in duck pin bowling. As ten pin bowling grew in popularity, twelve of the duck pin lanes were removed to create today's "standard" ten pin format. Eventually, with the rise of popularity in bowling, and ten pin leagues in general, it was decided that a new bowling center was needed. Princess Lanes opened in 1971 as a state-of-the-art, 44 lane bowling center. Village Lanes remained and remains open - with all 24 lanes now converted to ten pins. Village remains the place for cosmic bowling and, with Princess Lanes, hosts a large number of parties and events.
Over the years, Princess Lanes has become synonymous with top quality bowling, superior lane and mechanical maintenance, and friendly customer service. Princess was one of the first bowling centers nationally to install state-of-the-art synthetic bowling lanes in 1991. Princess adopted Qubica automation and scoring software. Our maintenance schedule is rigorous, which allows for beautiful lanes that provide for a superior bowling experience. We continue to pride ourselves on having the finest bowling center in Western Pennsylvania and beyond.

Princess today boasts a large league base, consisting of a wide array of community businesses, churches, and associations. Because of the size of Princess, we always have the ability to cater to open bowling, events, and parties. We continue to modernize our lanes, with upgrades to scoring software systems, flat panel televisions and monitors, and more.
